Masyarakat miskin bukan ancaman tapi peluang

Setelah beberapa minggu ini portalHI digempur oleh tulisan dengan tema pertahanan keamanan, kini saatnya ekopolin-ers beraksi. Kali ini saya ingin mengulas sebuah buku dengan tema besar kemiskinan. Ketika Gramedia Matraman meresmikan gedung hasil renovasinya, saya datang ke sana *secara promonya keren banget:semua buku diskon 30%*. Di salah satu sudut di lantai tiga, saya menemukan buku berjudul The Fortune at The Bottom of The Pyramid yang ditulis oleh C.K.Prahalad. Kata pengantarnya saja sudah menantang. Menggugat pemikiran tradisional mengenai masyarakat miskin. Apalagi ketika Prahalad mengatakan: “Kita harus meninggalkan banyak pandangan dunia yang mendukung dan menentang. Apakah Anda mendukung atau menentang globalisasi? bukan merupakan pertanyaan yang bagus”. “Cocok banget buat gue nih” pikir saya. Nah, agar ilmunya tidak untuk saya sendiri disini saya sajikan review buku ini.

Secara umum, pertumbuhan perekonomian Bali tahun 2003 telah mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan tahun 2002. Pertumbuhan ekonomi Bali yang digambarkan dengan pertumbuhan PDRB harga konstan tahun 1993 mencapai 3,65%, angka ini lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan tahun 2002 yang mencapai 3,15%. Bahkan pertumbuhan tahun 2003 telah melampaui target yang ditetapkan sebesar 3,58%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kebijakan pemantapan dalam upaya pemulihan ekonomi Bali telah memperlihatkan hasil yang cukup menggembirakan. Kondisi ini harus dipertahankan dan setidaknya dapat ditingkatkan lagi sehingga dalam tahun-tahun yang akan datang perekonomian Bali jauh lebih stabil.

SIKAP MENTAL WIRASWASTA
Dewasa ini, dunia kewiraswastaan tampaknya sudah mulai diminati oleh
masyarakat luas. Namun karena kurangnya informasi banyak orang merasa masih belum
jelas tentang aspek-aspek apa saja yang melingkupi dunia wiraswasta. Sebagian orang
beranggapan bahwa kewiraswastaan adalah dunianya kaum pengusaha besar dan mapan,
lingkungannya para direktur pemilik PT, CV serta berbagai bentuk perusahaan lainnya.
Oleh karena itu ilmu kewiraswastaan sering dianggap sebagai ilmu tentang bagaimana
menjadi kaya.
